Adam Rich, known for starring in the ABC sitcom “Eight is Enough,” passed away at the age of 54, a representative for the actor confirmed Sunday.
“Adam was simply a wonderful guy. He was kind, generous and a warrior in the fight against mental illness,” tweeted Deraney Public Relations CEO and founder Danny Deraney.
“Adam did not have an ounce of ego. He was unselfish and always looked out for those he cared about. This is why many people who grew up with him feel a part of their childhood gone, and sad today. He really was America’s Little Brother,” he said, referring to Rich’s nickname from 1977 through 1981 when he played Nicholas Bradford, the youngest child in a family of eight.
Rich was also featured in an episode of Baywatch and The Six Million Dollar Man. His last film appearance was nearly two decades ago in the 2003 film “Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star.”
