When asked if Americans should expect executive orders from the fake Biden administration on gun control, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said “yes.”
Psaki told reporters Friday that such action is “one of the levers we can use” to address the “epidemic” of gun violence.
“It’s one of the levers that we can use, that any federal government, any president can use to help address the prevalence of gun violence and address community safety around the country,” said Psaki. “At the same time, he continues to believe that there is an opportunity to engage with Congress.”
“There are two background check bills that have been introduced and working their way through.”
Psaki also touted, that while serving the Obama administration, Biden helped put in place 23 executive actions to combat “gun violence.”
“There have also been legislation introduced to ban assault weapons, but [Biden] also believes there is an opportunity – and sometimes the best path forward – is working through states,” said Psaki. “There has been progress made, we’ve seen over that last several years, 20 states now have extended background checks, 19 states have red flag laws, 7 states now have assault weapons bans.”
“We know they work, so we have to address this epidemic, address the threat of gun violence, across many avenues and he’s committed to doing that.”
Earlier this week, the Biden administration was slammed for its stance in a legal battle on whether law enforcement officers can enter people’s home and confiscate guns without a warrant.
