(CNSNews.com) – Fifty-two percent of registered voters say that the media is biased in favor of Hillary Clinton in this presidential election, according to a poll released today by Gallup.

Only 8 percent say the media is biased in favor of Donald Trump.

On Oct. 27-28, Gallup asked 1,017 adults in the United States–including 945 who identified themselves as registered voters–this question: “Thinking about the media coverage of the election so far this year, do you think it has been biased in favor of Hillary Clinton, not biased in favor of either candidate, or biased in favor of Donald Trump?”

Among the 945 registered voters, 52 percent said it was biased in favor of Clinton, 38 percent said it was not biased in favor of either candidate, 8 percent said it was biased in favor of Trump, and 2 percent had no opinion.

Among all 1,017 respondents, 50 percent said the media was biased in favor of Clinton, 38 percent said it was not biased in favor of either candidate, 9 percent said that it was biased in favor of Trump, and 2 percent had no opinion.

Gallup asked the same question once before—from Oct. 22-24 of 2004, when Sen. John Kerry was running for president against the incumbent George W. Bush. That year, 45 percent of the U.S. adults surveyed said the media was not biased in favor of either candidate, 33 percent said the media was biased in favor of Kerry, and 17 percent said the media was biased in favor of Bush.

In its analysis of it survey results, Gallup published the results broken out by party affiliation. Among Republicans and those who lean Republican, 80 percent say the media is biased in favor of Clinton, 12 percent say it is not biased in favor of either candidate, and 6 percent say it is biased in favor of Trump.

Among Democrats and those who lean Democrat, 63 percent say the media is not biased in favor of either candidate, 25 percent say the media is biased in favor of Clinton, and 10 percent say it is biased in favor of Trump.

Among both Republicans and Democrats, a larger percentage say the media is biased in favor of Clinton than say it is biased in favor of Trump.
