An entire can of worms is about to be opened by House GOP members who have demanded Obama-era communications concerning how the former administration addressed the so-called Russian interference.

Representatives Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan seem to be the only Republicans fighting the blatant lies and accusations of the democrats against Donald Trump. In addition to demanding new Attorney General William Barr get busy investigating the illegal actions of the Obama DOJ, State Department, and FBI, on Tuesday, the pair demanded documents and communications related to the “attempted interference in the” 2016 election.

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was sent the request, which could shed light on Obama’s role in handling the ‘interference.’

In a letter the lawmakers noted “then-DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson briefed Members of Congress about attempted Russian interference. During the briefing – which also, included President Obama’s National Security Advisor Lisa Monaco and then-FBI Director James Comey – the Obama Administration assured Members that it was adequately addressing any attempted interference in the election.”

Oh yeah, there is a little matter of Obama’s top officials communicating with Russian agents.

Plus, evidence has already been released showing a ‘stand down’ order concerning the interference.

Rep. John Radcliff wrote to Nielsen last summer to Nielsen:

“During a recent Senate Select Committee on Intelligence hearing held to review the Obama and Trump administrations’ policy response to Russian election interference, Michael Daniel, the cybersecurity czar for former President Obama, confirmed to Sen. Jim Risch (R-ID) that former national security advisor Susan Rice issued a “stand down” order in August 2016 in response to Russian cyber-attacks during the 2016 presidential campaign. In nearly simultaneous fashion, the Obama Administration launched an aggressive investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

“In that same hearing, former Obama State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that Russian President Vladimir Putin expected deterrent measures when Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. election, but did not see any response, so he felt he could “keep pushing.”

“As Chairman of the House Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee, these cyber-threats and the failure of the Obama Administration to take action are particularly alarming.

“In addition, given ongoing developments shedding light on improper adherence to standard practice and the presence of pervasive bias at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice during the Obama Administration, the “stand down” order raises further troubling questions about whether Obama Administration officials appropriately carried out their duties to protect the national security of the United States, or rather used their authority to carry out politically-motivated objectives.”

Now, Jordan and Meadows have specifically requested all the documents and communications concerning that possible ‘politically motivated’ action by March 19, including:

  • All documents and communications created, prepared, or used for the purpose of briefing members of Congress about the threat of foreign interference in the 2016 presidential election;
  • All documents created, prepared, or used for the purpose of briefing campaign officials about the threat of foreign interference in the 2016 presidential election;
  • All documents and communications between or among Secretary Johnson or any other DHS employee, Director Comey or any other FBI employee, or Lisa Monaco or any other National Security Council employee referring to relating to briefing members of Congress about the Russian Government’s attempts to interfere in the 2016 election; and
  • All documents and communications produced to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs responsive to Chairman Johnson’s request of June 6, 2018.

Not only will these documents illuminate ‘evidence’ the Obama administration claimed it had regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election, they will certainly expose any treasonous plat and schemes these leftists used to attempt to influence the election against Donald Trump.

Many people agree that the real election interference was conducted by liberals with the help of the Obama administration. Hopefully, these documents will be released and the actions exposed.
