Anti-war protesters marched in Washington, D.C. on Sunday to oppose U.S. support for Ukraine as they fight against Russia as well as the military-industrial complex as a whole.
Former GOP congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul slammed the modern American system from its Federal Reserve private banking to the non-stop military intervention.
Stand-up comedian and political podcaster Jimmy Dore spoke to the crowd, saying, “The military-industrial complex and Ukraine war represents an orgy of looting and corruption. America is the most powerful mafia that has ever existed and the hitmen in that mafia have military pilot licenses.”

Economic expert and frequent Infowars guest Gerald Celente fired up the march attendees, telling them, “I am angry at the mainstream media presstitutes. These little media whores get paid to put out by their corporate pimps and government masters. All they do is keep selling war, hate, fear, and hysteria. They ban us who speak for peace, love, facts, and freedom.”
Legendary musician and founding member of the band Pink Floyd Roger Waters sent in a video message to be played at the demonstration.
In the statement, he told the group, “Enough is enough! We demand change. Do the right thing. Implement a cease-fire in Ukraine today. Imagine the collective sigh of relief across the globe, the outpouring of joy, the international joining of voices in harmony singing an anthem to peace.”
Former Democratic Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard warned, “There is no way to win a nuclear war. There is only one end and that is a nuclear holocaust. So, we’re gathered here today because we know it doesn’t have to be this way. We know that there is a better way and that the task before us is urgent and necessary.”
Former Democrat Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich spoke directly to the D.C. establishment, saying, “We know what each of you did at the Nord Stream pipeline Mr. President, Mr. Secretary of State, Mr. National Security Advisor and Madam Undersecretary of State. And we will not rest until you are held accountable by Congress, by the international criminal court and by the American people at the next election.”
Max Blumenthal, a journalist and the editor of The Grayzone website told the crowd “That’s not our war. Whether in Ukraine or the war, they’re planning over the straits of Taiwan, their war is not our war.”
Political activist and former Green Party candidate for President Jill Stein delivered comments at the march, telling anti-war demonstrators, “This murderous military spending consumes resources desperately needed here at home by 70,000 people who die each year from lack of health insurance, for a half-million homeless people on any given night out in the streets, for 33 million in student debt, 100 million in medical debt, 22 million impoverished children and on and on.”
