A nurse stands accused of intentionally administering lethal doses of insulin, resulting in the deaths of two patients and the hospitalization of another.

Heather Pressdee, a 40-year-old registered nurse from Natrona Heights in Pennsylvania, has been charged with two counts of homicide, attempted murder, aggravated assault, neglect of a care-dependent person, and reckless endangerment.

The alleged incidents took place at Quality Life Services, a skilled nursing facility in Chicora.

Investigators revealed that the victims were under her care when they allegedly received overdoses of insulin, a hormone used to regulate blood sugar levels in diabetes patients.

The dose caused medical emergencies and tragically resulted in the deaths of two men, aged 55 and 83.

Additionally, a 73-year-old man survived but was hospitalized after allegedly being administered a potentially lethal dose of insulin.

Pressdee had a history of disciplinary actions for abusive behavior towards patients and staff at multiple health facilities since 2018, leading to her resignation or termination.

The two victims died on December 4 and December 25, 2022, while the surviving victim allegedly received an overdose on August 31st, 2022.
