Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said the special counsel John Durham’s report on the Russia collusion hoax would result in people being sent to jail.
The ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee made the remarks during an interview on the Sara Carter Show podcast on Thursday.
“I’m still positive, and I guess I have to be, that people are going to go to jail, and they are going to be prosecuted for the Russia grand fiasco and the Russia hoax,” Nunes said.
Durham has been quietly probing allegations of the investigation into the Russian collusion with the Trump campaign in the 2016 election.
“It may not be as broad as we want it to be,” Nunes said of the coming report.

“But look, there are some major perpetrators,” he explained.
“I think, as you and everybody else know, we’ve made over 14 criminal referrals.”
“That doesn’t mean 14 individuals,” he added.
“That means 14 different criminal referrals involving multiple individuals.”
Nunes also warned the Biden administration against interfering with the conclusion of the Durham probe.
“That would be a big issue, especially if Republicans get control back of the Congress because we have subpoena power,” said Nunes.

But Durham investigations have only resulted in the conviction of FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith.
Neon Nettle reported at the time:
Clinesmith was found to have sent several anti-Trump texts after Trump was elected.
In 2016, he texted an FBI colleague following Trump’s win, asking if he would serve in the Trump administration: “Viva le resistance.”
Clinesmith texts also expressed disappointment in Trump’s election, saying “the crazies won finally” and that the Trump administration would be “the tea party on steroids.”
Clinesmith apologized and said he committed the document falsification only to save himself some time.
He was sentenced to 12 months probation and 400 hours of community service in January.
Rep. Jim Jordan said in June he was angry the report had not been released earlier.
“We were supposed to have the Durham report over a year ago,” Jordan said.
“I just don’t know where that is.”
In December last year, it was reported Durham would have definite access to classified information in his investigation into the origins of the FBI’s probe into the 2016 election.
I won’t hold my breath.
