From blackface scandals to rape allegations to anti-Semitic barbs, the Democrat party is having an extremely bad week.

It has now been revealed that anti-Semitic freshman Democrat Rashida Tlaib (MI) once wrote an op-ed for a publication linked to fellow noted anti-Semite, Louis Farrakhan.

From National Review:

Representative Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) wrote an op-ed in 2006 for Louis Farrakhan’s digital publication Final Call, which routinely publishes anti-Semitic content, according to a new report from freelance journalist Jeryl Bier.

Tlaib argues in the op-ed, which is dated October 4, 2006 and was resurfaced by Bier, that illegal immigrants shouldn’t face criminal charges or be deported for violating immigration law.

Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam, has long been known as an outspoken anti-Semite. In February 2006, months before Tlaib’s piece was published, he accused Jews of promoting homosexuality in order to harm the African-American community.

“These false Jews promote the filth of Hollywood that is seeding the American people and the people of the world and bringing you down in moral strength. . . . It’s the wicked Jews, the false Jews, that are promoting lesbianism, homosexuality. It’s the wicked Jews, false Jews, that make it a crime for you to preach the word of God, then they call you homophobic,” he said during his Saviour’s Day speech on February 26, 2006.

Since the time of Tlaib’s writing, Final Call has published numerous articles espousing anti-Semitic conspiracies with headlines such as “Racist Rabbis: A Long History of Jewish Race-Haters,” “The Secret Relationship Between Rappers and Jews,” and “Solving The Mystery of Jewish Financial Success,” among others. Tlaib has not published in the outlet since her initial 2006 column.

Tlaib was sworn in on the Quran.

From Daily Wire:

The Quran owned by former President Thomas Jefferson will be the book upon which newly-elected Muslim congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), is sworn into the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday.

According to The Hill, Tlaib will be making history this Thursday as the first Palestinian-American woman to join the lower chamber of Congress. She also joins alongside recently-elected Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) to be one of the first two Muslim congresswomen.

Translated into English by George Sale in 1734, Jefferson’s copy of the Quran resides in the Library of Congress, according to the Detroit Free Press. Tlaib told the Free Press that she chose Jefferson’s Quran to highlight that Islam goes back a long way in the United States.

After her victory, Tlaib celebrated with the Palestinian flag.

Tlaib is a member of the Facebook group “Palestinian American Congress,” where members often demonize Jews. The group’s founder, Palestinian activist Maher Abdel-qader, was a key fundraiser for Tlaib and organized campaign events for her around the country.

In January 2018, Abdel-qader shared an anti-Semitic video that claimed Jews aren’t actually Jewish, and invented their historical claim to Israel and secretly control the media.

The video, which described Jews as “satanic,” also questioned whether 6 million Jews actually died in the Holocaust.
