One of the best tag team wrestlers in Ring of Honor history, Jay Briscoe, died at the of 38.

Jamin Pugh who went by the wrestling stage name of Jay Briscoe was a 13-time tag team champion alongside his brother Mark Pugh.

The news of Pugh’s death was broken by ROH and AEW owner Tony Khan.

Khan wrote in a tweet: “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today”.

The owner of ROH would continue “Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We’ll do whatever we can to support his family. Rest In Peace Jamin.”

In his hometown of Laurel, Delaware Jay was loved by everyone.

So, much so that the local high school has even canceled school, to give the town some time to properly mourn.

Jay had a tough persona in the ring outside of the ring he was an outspoken Christian admired by his family and friends.
