“All I can tell you is what I’ve heard. And, again, this is a powerful, emotional time for a lot of allies and partners, as it is for me, as it is for us,” he tells Fox host Chris Wallace.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken wouldn’t directly answer whether his boss Joe Biden is kept in the loop on the unfolding events in Afghanistan.

In an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” host Chris Wallace asked Blinken point-blank: “Does the president not know what’s going on?”

Rather than answer the question, Blinken went on a tangent about how the Biden administration’s Afghanistan debacle was an “emotional time.”

“Chris, all I can tell you is what I’ve heard. And, again, this is a powerful, emotional time for a lot of allies and partners, as it is for me, as it is for us,” Blinken replied.

“But I’ve also heard of this, I’ve heard across the board, deep appreciation and thanks from allies and partners for everything that we’ve done to bring our allies and partners out of harm’s way.”

“There’s gonna be plenty of time to look back to figure out who was saying what when, what should have happened differently, plenty of time for that,” Blinken added after Wallace pressed him on contradictory remarks coming from the White House and Pentagon.

U.S. allies like the UK are so appreciative of Biden that its parliament voted to hold him in contempt over his “catastrophic” and “shameful” pullout from Kabul.

French and German leaders also condemned Biden over the Afghanistan pullout fiasco.

Blinken also defended the U.S. decision to enter Afghanistan in the first place, claiming the foreign policy goal of “diminishing” Al-Qaeda has been “successful.”

“As we all know, we went to Afghanistan twenty years ago with one mission and one purpose in mind: and that was to deal with the folks who attacked us on 9/11, to bring bin-Laden to justice, which we did a decade ago, and to diminish the capacity of Al Qaeda to do the same thing again, to attack us from Afghanistan and that, to the president’s point, has been successful,” Blinken said.
