On Monday afternoon, Democrats voted on a resolution condemning freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar for her repeated anti-Semitic remarks.

Here’s the scoop…

From Daily Wire:

Democratic leadership in the House, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), say they’re planning on introducing legislation later this week that would condemn anti-Semitism, though it’s not immediately clear whether Democrats plan to condemn Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) specifically for her recent anti-Semitic remarks.

Politico reports that Democratic leaders have been hard at work since last week trying to figure out a way to openly criticize remarks made by Omar — at an event last week in Washington, D.C. — and by others who have adopted centuries old anti-Semitic tropes, like the “dual loyalty” smear, to critique their colleagues.

Omar leveled that exact criticism last week during a speech at D.C. restaurant Busboys & Poets, drawing swift and deep condemnation from top Democrats, including her boss on the Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), who demanded Omar apologize for her “vile” remarks, including that some of her Congressional colleagues were pledging their “allegiance to a foreign country” — Israel.

But there’s one MAJOR problem. Omar’s name does not appear.

Omar traveled with an anti-American group that supports socialism in Venezuela and Cuba.

Said group also wants the U.S. to return Gitmo to the Cubans.

Kind of telling, isn’t it?

From Fox News:

Rep. Ilhan Omar has attended a travel delegation to a South American country sponsored by a radical anti-American and anti-Israel organization that supports countries opposed to the U.S. and calls for the return of Guantanamo Naval Base to Cuba.

The Minnesota Democrat was accused of anti-Semitism after asserting that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a bipartisan group, was buying lawmakers.

She also grabbed headlines after first accusing the U.S. government of leading a coup against Venezuelan socialist tyrant Nicolas Maduro and then attempting to grill Elliott Abrams, the Trump administration’s new special envoy for Venezuela.

Now it was revealed that she once traveled to Honduras with an organization called Witness for Peace, a group formed during the Reagan administration that opposed America’s actions in South America aimed at stopping the spread of communism.

Omar tweeted the following four messages:

After traveling to Honduras as part of the Witness for Peace delegation, I’ve returned home with a heavy heart and deep concern for the electoral process and human rights crisis the people of Honduras are enduring.
