“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
The rarest thing in history happened this week: Common sense won in San Francisco, as voters turned radical left-wing prosecutor Chesa Boudin out of office in a recall election.
Since he took office in 2020 Boudin, the son of convicted Weather Underground terrorists raised by two other members of the Weather Underground, had refused to prosecute criminals for anything but the most heinous of crimes—and sometimes, not even then.
As a result, crime spiked under his watch.
On Tuesday, San Franciscans voted almost two-to-one in favor of recalling Boudin.
It’s a huge victory that, even in a city as leftist as Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco, leftists can go too far. But Boudin was just one of several soft-on-crime prosecutors elected with the financial backing of George Soros.
The shadowy, left-wing, Hungarian-born billionaire spent $40 million to elect 75 radical big-city district attorneys, according to a report from the pro-police Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund.
In fact, Soros-funded liberals now run cities that account for almost 20 percent of the U.S. population—and 40 percent of all U.S. homicides, according to the report.

They all followed the same pattern: Soros donated big bucks, they outspent their opponents, and then they started setting criminals loose.
Now that voters are starting to take back their streets, and their democracy, here are a few prosecutors who might feel the heat next:
George Gascon, Los Angeles
In the ads in favor of Boudin’s recall, they would often compare him to his predecessor in office, George Gascon, who has moved on to Los Angeles. But the people of L.A. have suffered under Gascon since December 2020.
Gascon ordered his prosecutors, on day one, not to seek tougher penalties against career criminals, gang members, and hardcore undesirables. The Angelenos saw their city breaking down, and they gathered enough signatures for a recall election targeting Gascon.
The last recall effort failed, but another is already in the works.
Kim Foxx, Chicago
Kim Foxx was Soros’ first rogue prosecutor. Since she rode into office in 2016, crime in Chicago has been climbing.
To make matters worse, the Windy City’s crime rate was already obscene before she took office. Between 2001 and 2014, nearly as many Americans were killed in Chicago each year as in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. In a city that was already a war zone, Foxx made things worse.
Her office just refused to prosecute about 30 percent of all felonies, the most serious crimes that anyone can commit.
Not every crime Foxx refused to prosecute was violent; she bungled the original case against actor Jussie Smollett, when he hired two Africans to beat him up and tried to blame it on Trump supporters in “MAGA country.”

Larry Krasner, Philadelphia
Krasner became district attorney in Philadelphia in 2018, and he refuses to prosecute whole categories of crime. He’s so lax that one of his critics calls him a “non-prosecutor.”
We should have known things would be bad: The night he was elected, his supporters chanted, “F–k the FOP (the Fraternal Order of Police)” and screamed that the “racist system” had “no good cops.”
It wasn’t just anti-cop talk. In March 2020, a career criminal named Hassan Elliott shot a Police Cpl. James O’Connor IV, who was trying to serve Elliott with a warrant over a killing Elliott committed in March 2019. The crook opened fire through a closed door and killed the officer. A U.S. attorney said the law enforcement officer’s death “was the direct result of Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner’s pro-violent-defendant policies.”
Alvin Bragg of Manhattan
Alvin Bragg has only been in office since January—and already major crime has spiked by 43 percent, according to the New York Post. Bragg refuses to prosecute criminals, and cops are paying the price. The whole country paid attention when the widow of New York police officer Jason Rivera, who was slain in the line of duty, called out Bragg at her husband’s funeral.
“I know you were tired of these laws, especially the ones from the new D.A,” she said at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. “I hope he’s watching you speak through me right now.”
All six dozen of these George Soros-backed prosecutors need to hear the anger of the voters as they are recalled. Justice shouldn’t be for sale, no matter how much he’s willing to pay.
Too many police, and innocent victims, have already paid the price.
