Are you ready for a “very major” action that the president is planning for 2020?

Get this- it appears as though Donald Trump is planning for another middle-income tax cut, but there’s a catch, and he needs us all to step in and do our part.

President Trump announced on Friday that he’s planning legislation for a middle-income tax cut if the Republican Party wins back the House of Representatives.

“We’re going to be doing a very major middle-income tax cut, mostly devoted to middle income, who have really been big beneficiaries of the tax cut we did [in 2017], which was the largest in the history of our country,” Trump said during an event on healthcare.

“But we’re doing a major tax cut for the middle income, and that’ll be subject obviously to taking over the House because the Democrats like tax increases, not tax cuts,” he said.

On Tuesday, the president’s top economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, also suggested that the administration was weighing options for tax cuts.

Trump said before the 2018 midterm elections that he would work toward a middle-class tax cut in an effort to prop up congressional Republicans, but the GOP lost the House.

After the announcement, reporters were abuzz to find out all of the important specifics of the cut, but the president was not in the mood for sharing just yet, according to The Hill:

Trump did not elaborate on any details for his proposed tax cut. The Hill has reached out to the White House for comment.

White House adviser Larry Kudlow said Thursday that the administration was looking at a “tax cuts 2.0” package to create long-term economic improvement but added that it wasn’t looking at near-term cuts.

“The idea of some short-term payroll tax cut fix — it doesn’t work. It never works. It has no lasting impact,” he said.

He added that tax cuts such as lower individual tax rates, lower capital gains rates, changes for noncorporate businesses and relief for residents of high-tax states could be rolled out before the 2020 election.

Before the 2020 election, huh?

Sounds like Trump is serious about getting the House flipped over for the Republicans, which would make his job a lot easier next time around in 2020.

Of course, there were many scoffers who stated that Trump’s last tax cut only benefitted the rich, but was that really the truth?

Judging by the amount of “likes” in the following response tweet, probably not, as this middle-class Trump fan can attest:

I got a tax cut under Trump and I am middle class. The fake news media is lying when they say Trump only cut taxes for the rich. I would love to see another tax cut in 2020.
