Donald Trump says more than $4 million has been donated to his presidential campaign in the 24 hours since he was indicted.

A quarter of the money came from new donors and contributions could be traced to all 50 states, according to a fundraising email sent out by Trump on Friday night.

The donations come as his son-in-law Jared Kushner insisted the indictment would ‘only make him stronger.’

Trump’s team alleges that at least one contribution had come from every single state in America within five hours of a Manhattan jury voting to indict him over a $130,000 hush money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels.

The 76-year-old’s email read: ‘This is the battle I willingly signed up for when I decided to take on the entire Washington Machine as a political outsider 8 years ago and be YOUR voice.’
