In the New Orleans area, 5 missing teenage girls were rescued during an operation run by the US Marshals Service, that arrested thirty sex offenders when all was said and done.

Between mid-October and Christmas Eve, “Operation Boo Dat” was executed and netted the rescue of 5 teenage girls whose ages ranged from 14 to 17-years-old. Thirty people were arrested in the operation and that included 17 who have been accused of felony sex offender registration violations, according to a press release by the US Marshals.

The missing teenage girls were rescued through the cooperative efforts of the New Orleans Police Department, The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Louisiana State Police, and the US Marshals’ New Orleans Task Force.
