We cannot ignore that climate change continues to make these disasters worse,’ Sen. Schumer (D-NY) claimed.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Wednesday blamed climate change for the hazy conditions in New York City, which have been attributed to wildfires in Canada.
“These Canadian wildfires are truly unprecedented and we cannot ignore that climate change continues to make these disasters worse,” Schumer said without evidence from the Senate floor.

Schumer claimed “warmer temperatures” cause fires to “burn faster, burn hotter and burn bigger,” and said the smoke causing poor air quality conditions for millions of residents in the Big Apple was directly correlated to manmade global warming.

And the warming is happening at a faster pace in countries with higher latitudes. None of this is a coincidence,” he said, going on to claim Mother Nature was angry at humans.
“This smoke and fog over New York and the rest of the Northeast is a warning from nature that we have a lot of work to do to reverse the destruction of climate change.”
Schumer’s shameful display, taking advantage of New Yorkers’ ongoing environmental disaster in order to promote the establishment’s green agenda, is yet another example of how the left will never let a good crisis go to waste.
