Abu Hassan al-Muhajir who was the ISIS spokesman and seen as the likely successor to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was killed during a separate attack carried out by United States forces.

“He was killed very close to the North East, very close to the Euphrates River… he was killed by U.S. Forces,” said a a senior State Department official on Monday.

“Following the previous ops, a senior assistent for al- Bagdadi is called Abu Hesen al Mouhjir was targeted in a village named Ein al Baat near Jaraboul city, the mission was conducted via direct coordination of SDF Intel & US military apart the ongiong ops to hunt ISIS leaders,” said Mazloum Abdi on Twitter.
